WILLARD, Charles Foster (1883-1977). Charles F. Willard TLS and Photos. Signed letter dated December 15, 1919, to Aero Club of America, accompanied by two photographs of Willard, who was a Harvard graduate and the fourth person to fly in the United States, having been taught by Glenn Curtiss. He made the first flight over Los Angeles in 1910 and became a chief engineer for Glenn Martin. Lot includes manuscript and typed response to Willard?s letter by Aero Club Secretary. Good.
