[ZAEHNSDORF EXHIBITION BINDING]. Longus. Athens: privately printed for the Athenian Society, 1896. 8vo. Title printed in red and black. Contemporary full red levant triple ruled in gilt, 5 raised bands, gilt centerpieces and titling in compartments, top edge gilt, gilt dentelles, red silk endpapers, gilt-stamp signed by Zaehnsdorf, and with their EXHIBITION BLIND STAMP to rear silk pastedown (faint ring stain to upper cover). Provenance: Francis Pember (bookplate). LIMITED EDITION, number 4 of 5 copies PRINTED ON JAPANESE VELLUM not for sale. One of a series of publications of Greek classics by the Society and completely unexpurgated according to the preface.
