From 1972 to 1996, New York native lived in Berlin, where he graduated as a master craftsman in 1979. In his work he focuses on the dialogue between ergonomics and aesthetics. To form functional furniture without losing artistic values, he begins with manufacturing plywood blocks that he carefuly glues together and then saws out and polishes the sculptural shapes he has in mind. The work of the artist who today resides in Escalante, Utah, is being exhibited internationally and widely appreciated.
