Jeddah Huntington (1743-1818), was an American general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. After the war, he served in numerous civilian posts. War dated Document Signed, “Huntington†cross written, 1p. 16mo., Hartford, September 20, 1781, a voucher paying Revolutionary War Deputy Quarter Master RALPH POMEROY the sum of three pounds in silver. Endorsed by Pomeroy on verso. Very good. He was appointed by Washington in April to serve on a commission to study the loss of Forts Montgomery and Clinton in the state of New York. In July he was a member of the court martial that tried General Charles Lee for misconduct at the Battle of Monmouth. In September he was a member of the court of inquiry that heard the case of Major John Andre.
