Wonderful Ladder Medal from the Illinois Chapter of the “Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Libertas et Patriaâ€. The pinback bar “Illinois†with a short b/w ribbon from which dangles the medal centering on the Minute Man, followed by three ladders, “Memorial Day Parade†May 30, 1894, “Flag Day June 14, 1984†and “Yorktown Day†December 19, 1984. ... plus, wood plaque, 8†x 4-1/4†painted Heraldic Eagle. On the back is an ID label, “Illinois Chapter, Sons of the American Revolutionâ€. The Sons of the American Revolution honors our Revolutionary War patriot ancestors by promoting patriotism, serving our communities, educating and inspiring future generations about the founding principles of our Country. National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR or SAR) was founded in 1889 and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.
