Booklet titled, “Sermon Preached at At St. Mary’s in Oxford ... Assizes Held There, March 4, 1707/8, 16pp. VG. The topic ‘The Practice of Confounding the Distinction between Good and Evil.’ Double dating to 1707/8 was used because, prior to 1752, the legal new year in England and its colonies began on Lady Day (March 25) rather than January 1. The slash indicates the date falls between January 1 and March 24, spanning both the historical year (1707) and the modern, legal year (1708)
