Jack Bilander (1910-1989) American, Etching Panoramic Cityscape "East River III". Panoramic etching titled "East River III" by Jack Bilander, dated '74, depicting figures looking across a body of water toward a city skyline. Signed lower right. Titled lower left. Framed.

Jack Bilander (1910–1989) was an American painter and illustrator best known for his detailed depictions of Western scenes, wildlife, and nostalgic Americana. Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago, Bilander developed a realistic style marked by careful composition, rich color, and a strong sense of narrative, often portraying cowboys, Native American subjects, and frontier life with both drama and authenticity. In addition to his fine art, he worked as a commercial illustrator, contributing to magazines and advertising, which helped broaden his audience. His work reflects a deep appreciation for the American West and has remained popular among collectors for its craftsmanship and evocative portrayal of traditional themes.
