La Pierre Sterling Silver Plate - 3.355 ozt. Reticulated inner edge. Marked on underside.
Size: 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.
Weight: 3.355 ozt.
The La Pierre Silver Company was founded in 1888 in New York by Frank H. La Pierre, who had a small shop at 18 East 14th Street making a variety of novelties and small wares. In 1895 it was incorporated in New Jersey, and in 1900 the firm was renamed La Pierre and H. C. Brown. In 1929 the business was purchased by the International Silver Company and all assets were moved to Wallingford, Connecticut, effectively ending their line.
