- Lot Description
The 1979 MLB All-Star Game was held at the Kingdome in Seattle with over 58,000 in attendance. 1979 would mark the 50th anniversary of the Midsummer Classic and featured two star-studded teams. Adidas was the sponsor during this midsummer classic, providing a unique flair to the warm-ups for this outing.
This lot offers Hall of Famer Rod Carew's '79 All-Star Game warm-up suit in a smooth-operatin' powder blue color. Carew also added his signature within the collar of jacket. The 1979 All-Star Game logo appears on the right chest with the Adidas logo on the left chest. Classic Adidas pinstripes run down the sides of both the jacket and pants. Proper tagging exists throughout. Moderate wear is evident. The signature has been authenticated by PSA/DNA with a cert sticker (AP57390) affixed to the Adidas manufacturer's tag inside the jacket collar.
