Central Javanese period, 9th/10 century, a mythical bird, mounted on a custom bronze base, fine glossy green patina, good condition. Ht. 3 in. 7.7 cm, ht. with base 4 3/4 in. 12.2 cm. Losses as shown, with glossy patina.
