Milne Bay Province, Northern Massim, Trobriand Islands, Papua New Guinea, late 19th Century, ebony wood, the flat blade slightly flaring to the bottom, with carved guard and large rounded pommel with piercings for fiber attachments, dark sooth patina. Lg. 74 cm. 29 in.
