- Lot Description
Featured in the movie Union Pacific 1939, directed by Cecil B. DeMille and Arthur Rossen. The case is made of hide and contains two beaded panels, one at the top and the other near the base. The panels are beaded in white, yellow, pink and navy, set in traditional geometric motifs. Remnants of red trade cloth are along the body and long hide fringes extending from the top and shorter fringes at the bottom. The reverse is written on the hide middle section "C. E. De Mille, ˜Union Pacific", Director¦..Art Rossen." Lg. 77 in. with fringe. Provenance: Private collection, Connecticut; Marty Ingham, MT.
