George Tattener Tataniq (1910 – 1991, Baker Lake), circa 1970, Inuit steatite carving, the stone figure of a slightly reclining figure, with arms on thighs, the head with slit mouth, simple nose and incised eyes deepest below the brow, marked, 'BL-3'on the bottom. Ht. 6 1/4, wd. 4 1/2, and lg. 5 1/2 in.
