Ptolemy period, 3rd / 2nd century B.C., a rare Egyptian kitten mummy, with elaborate cross banded linen wrappings, surmounted by a polychrome gesso bust of a cat, mounted on an old wood base. In good condition, with expected wear, craquelure and paint loss. Ht. 7 in. 17.7 cm, ht. with base 7 7/8 in., 20 cm.
