- Lot Description
Late period, circa 5/4th century B.C., a fragment probably from a funeral box, depicting an offering barer approaching a figure of Sobek, the crocodile deity, who sits atop a tiered altar. Some minor remnants of gesso, wood erosion generally in good condition. Ht. 3 in. 7.5 cm. wd. 6 1/8 in. 16.3 cm.
