- Lot Description
Including a standing figure and an effigy vessel. The standing figure modeled in reddish clay with traces of black and red pigment, shown with arms extended and legs slightly bent, nodules on the torso and lower stomach; the effigy vessel with a globular body and spout, decorated in relief with a stylized motif with a beak and geometric designs. Both with encrusted mineral deposits and surface wear consistent with age. Standing figure ht. 4 ¾ wd. at shoulders 3 ¼, effigy vessel ht. 2, dia. 3 in. Provenance: Pennsylvania Family Collection, purchased from Julius Carlebach, NY.
