This solid and well-shaped Native American stone axe head is a hand-worked prehistoric tool crafted from dense stone, exhibiting smooth surfaces, balanced proportions, and pronounced shaping consistent with repeated handling and use. The form suggests intentional grinding and pecking to achieve a secure hafting area, with natural patination and surface wear developed over centuries of burial and exposure.
