sight: 11 x 15 in. frame: 20 x 24 in.
Exhibition note: "The idea for this painting came from a painting done by C.M. Russell called 'The Exhausted Ruler.' The painting was of a large bull elk on a small hill overlooking his herd of cows down below. Boots thought it would be humorous to replace the elk with a male Jackalope or jack rabbit with elk horns surrounded by happy females and name it the 'Exhausted Ruler.'"
