San Antonio, Texas native Brian St. John is known for his distinctive impressionistic depictions of the Texas landscape, as well as his distinguished career as an art educator at the collegiate level. St. John has studied with Mel Casas, William Kolbe, Neil Wilson and Charles Field among others, and completed his M.F.A. in 1986 at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has taught for Palo Alto College, the San Antonio Art Institute, and is a Professor Emeritus of St. Mary's University in San Antonio. He has been represented by galleries and was featured in a one-person exhibition at the San Antonio Art League and Museum, where he was named Artist of the Year in 2012.
