Marlin Adams, born in Mesa, Arizona, and raised in Los Angeles, is a professional painter and Professor of Art at Gordon College in Georgia, holding a Bachelor’s and Master's of Fine Arts from Brigham Young University. He is known for his plein-air landscapes, often painting on location for hours or days to capture nature’s light and detail, though he also works in the studio using sketches and photos. Adams has been featured in The Artist’s Magazine and American Artist Magazine, winning the portrait competition in The Artist’s Magazine and being a finalist in landscape, still life, and portrait categories. His work is held in museum and private collections across the country.
