Hand assembled model of three masted 19th century barque.
A large hand crafted replica ship modeled after the historic 19th century vessel Belem, a French barque or sailing vessel with three masts rigged to certain specifications. Belem made her maiden voyage in 1896, from Brazil and French Guiana to Nantes, France. She was present at and escaped the 1902 eruption of Mount Pelee and was later owned as a private luxurious pleasure yacht by the 2nd Duke of Westminster. Presented on a decorative wooden base.
