- Lot Description
Frantz Hingelberg sterling silver coffee set. The Set contains Coffee Pot with handle and finial of bone, creamer, and sugar bowl. The set is circa 1940 and was designed by Svend Weihrauch. All pieces are in excelent condition. Coffee pot measures 21.5 cm tall, lid opening measures 9.5 cm in diameter. Sugar bowl measures 7.5 cm tall, 10 cm in diameter. Creamer measures 8.5 cm tall, top opening measures 7 cm in diameter. Silver from Hingelbergs silversmithy where Svend Weirauch was in charge as a silversmithy and designer from 1928, was early on inspired by the most modern production techniques and methods. Weirauch was all for the use of machines but against mass production why each of Hingelbergs silver objects maintained their quality of craftsmanship and was only produced in lesser amounts.
