A pair of chinoiserie style blue and white porcelain vases (or urns) with elaborate mounted bronze neck, handles and separable bases, urns with lappet bordering at neck and base, body with double-face patterning, with large leafy peonies on blue dotted background surrounding central quatrefoil floral vignette or medallion, bronze neck with swan's neck form, with scrolled acanthus patterning, bronze handles with c-scroll acanthus surmounted to neck with lion's head holding rings, separable bronze base with c- and s-scrolled folliates acanthus, with Greek key freize at base, with velvet lined underside with applied label "Maitland-Smith". Overall with base approximate height 26.25", diameter at mouth 9.5".
