  Princess Sakura (a Kabuki role name), Yakko Yodohei (a Kabuki role name) and Kiyomizu Seigen (a Kabuki role name), three woodblock prints in colors on rice paper, inscribed, marked and signed: "Watanabe (a censor's seal) / Mera (a censor's seal) / Painted by Toyokuni (the author’s given name) / Shita-uri (not prominently advertised for discreet sale) (Note: This seal indicates that the work was sold “under the counter” to bypass strict censorship laws of the time.) / Hamadaya Tokubei (a print publisher in Edo period)." Double matted under glass in bamboo style carved gilt wood frame, overall 20-1/8" x 35-1/8".
