• Lot Description
  Medium low dense silk highlights wool pile on cotton foundation. Fine hand-knotted rug. Field with central complex multicolor medallion with extensions and floral designs on tech bloom and green color background; complex multicolor corner guards; multiple borders with floral palmettes serpentine motifs on multicolor background; fringe at both ends. Natural abrash. Persian, ca. 1980's

  Condition

  Very Good, with little evidence of use. Finely knotted pile full and even throughout, the design sharp and the silk highlights retaining their sheen; no low areas, bare spots, holes or moth damage observed. Natural abrash banding across the salmon field. Fringes full, clean and even at both ends; selvedges intact and secure. Reverse shows a fine, regular weave with no repairs, patching or reweaving. No staining or water marks noted. Lies flat and square.
