1.75" bore width at muzzle, 21.75" round-to-octagonal barrel. The barrel features gilt vine and ribbon inlays. The lock is engraved P. Martinoni. The trigger guard has an acanthus-form finial, with the same finial appearing on the toe of the buttplate and on the rear of the fore end ferrule. The stock is made of fancy grain walnut, and has a unique folding butt feature, activated by a button on the top of the wrist. The stock is also relief carved along the furniture, and features several areas of wire inlay throughout. A German silver thumbprint appears behind the tang. The stock includes an iron ramrod with two iron ferrules.
The barrel has a gunmetal patina, with speckling throughout. The stock has several areas of cracks along the length of the barrel, with small areas of loss on either side. The wire inlay is present in most areas, but is missing in some. The bore and action are very good.
