.56 caliber, 7 7/8" brass barrel. Both barrels feature remnants of London proof marks, and the tops are both marked London, within an engraved square with a ball finial. The locks are marked W. Ketland & Co. Both pistols feature brass furniture, including trigger guards, sideplates, buttcaps, sideplates, thumbrests and ferrules. The same three leaf engraving appears on the tang, the trigger guard and the buttcap. Each pistol includes a wooden ramrod.
The brass on each pistol has some stains and dings. The stocks have some slight nicks and dings. The frizzens are loose, with the hammer also loose on one, however the actions on both are functional. The bores are good but could use a cleaning. One of the pistols has an age crack forward of the trigger guard and below the muzzle of the barrel on the stock.
