Nimschke's shop; his trademarks are demonstrated on this revolver with his sun bursts, stars and sinuous lines. Nimschke signed only the best work done by him. The rest of the work was executed by his employees from plans laid out in his scrap book from which they copied his designs. This revolver was definitely done in his shop.
The metal has nice sharp and crisp lines and detail to the engraving. All metal has nice even dark grey look with brown patina blending in. Original period pearl grips with nice untouched patina. Truly an outstanding SA with that great look from the 1870s.
