  Sixth plate daguerreotype half-length studio portrait. With original seals. Leatherette case. 

   

  A fine antebellum portrait of a militia officer in full regalia. In this portrait, the subject wears an officer's jacket with braids and epaulettes; his elaborately plumed shako rests on his lap. At his side, he is equipped with a high-grade officer's sword.
