Signed poster of the navigation log from the B-29 bomber Enola Gay, the aircraft that dropped the first atomic bomb, “Little Boy,” on Hiroshima, Japan. Signed at lower left by three members of the historic crew: pilot Paul W. Tibbets (1915–2007), bombardier Thomas Ferebee (1918–2000), and navigator Theodore J. Van Kirk (1921–2014).
In addition to reproducing the navigation log itself, the poster features a map of Enola Gay’s route at lower right and Van Kirk’s remarks at lower center concerning local time, geography, and the navigational calculations involved in the mission.
