LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA" SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, approximately 1/2 gallon capacity, medial-shoulder form with tapered neck, slightly rounded rim, and strap handle. Brushed cobalt horizontal tulip and leaves decoration below spout, additional cobalt around handle terminals. The pottery of William H. Lehew (b.c. 1825-aft. 1891).
