WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA OVERSIZED DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, brushed "16" gallon capacity, cylindrical form with slight shoulder, beaded collar, rounded flat-top rim, and heavy arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt horizontal undulating vine decoration featuring three tulips above a feathered vine and the capacity designation surrounded by graduated dashes, stripes dividing and defining the design fields, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Undamaged except for two very faint, short exterior hairlines to reverse, color varies from gray to light brown.
