WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA OVERSIZED STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, stenciled "16" gallon capacity, cylindrical form with a slight shoulder, arched handles, rounded flat-top rim, and Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "HAMILTON & / JONES / GREENSBORO. / PA." surrounded flanked by scroll and floral ornaments, brushed cobalt stripes at rim, shoulder, and base, additional brushed leaves at shoulder and surrounding handle terminals.
