Late 19th to Early 20th Century - An exotic hardwood egg-shaped handle which has a hole cut in the top to put in and remove a thermometer, handle can also be unscrewed to find the medical compartment, clinical thermometer is signed "Brannan - London", Brannan is a British maker of measuring instruments, thermometer is of the period and in excellent condition, brass collar, faux bamboo partridgewood shaft, and a brass ferrule.
