Camille Fauré (French, 1874–1956) for Limoges
Polychrome Enameled VaseA tall and finely executed Limoges enamel vase by Camille Fauré, decorated in richly layered polychrome enamels over copper. The surface displays Fauré’s hallmark bold color contrasts and luminous depth, exemplifying the Art Deco aesthetic that defined his most celebrated period. Signed just above the base.
Dimensions: 5 3/4 in. diameter x 11 in. high
Condition: Overall good; light surface wear consistent with age.
Artist Bio
Camille Fauré (1874–1956) was a master French enamelist whose work revitalized the Limoges enamel tradition during the 20th century. Establishing his studio in the 1920s, he became renowned for his richly enameled copper vases, often decorated with geometric and floral motifs in vibrant, layered colors. His Art Deco designs brought a modern sensibility to a centuries-old craft, earning him international recognition.
