An exceptional lavender jadeite feather holder (hua ling guan) from the Qing dynasty (1644–1911), beautifully carved and finely polished. This elegant cylindrical ornament was traditionally worn at the back of an official’s hat to hold the stem of the prestigious peacock feather award (hua ling), a high honor bestowed by the emperor for exceptional service.
