A finely rendered etching depicting a reclining lion, executed in the manner of Rembrandt van Rijn, after his well-known studies of lions. The composition shows the animal resting with its head lowered and forepaws extended, captured with expressive line work and delicate shading characteristic of 17th-century Dutch printmaking. The lower margin bears an inscription referencing Rembrandt and the engraver, consistent with later impressions or reproductions of the original work. Presented under mat and housed in a burlwood-style frame, with a Rosemont Art Gallery label verso. The sheet shows expected toning, light foxing, and edge wear commensurate with age, while the impression remains clear and visually appealing. A decorative and collectible example of a classic Old Master subject. Approx. frame size (in): 10 x 12.25 x 0.5, Approx. etching size (in): 4.75 x 6.75.
