- Lot Description
An impressive antique The Operators Bell nickel slot machine, featuring the classic Bell-Fruit-Gum three-reel display with fruit, bell, and gum symbols, ornate cast metal casework, and detailed patriotic and Liberty Bell motifs throughout. The machine retains its front award card reading “The Trust Does Not Manufacture or Control the Sale of Bell-Fruit-Gum,” along with the “No Blanks” play instructions, and the reels show “Copyright 1910” markings. The case is richly embossed with scrollwork, bells, torch designs, Statue of Liberty panels, and “The Operators Bell” across the front door. Serial number 18317 is visible on the upper mechanism housing and front ledge. Includes key, front door access, side handle, coin entry, and visible internal mechanism. The machine presents with age-appropriate wear, surface patina, scratches, oxidation, and some cracks or stress lines visible in the cast metal, including areas near the handle housing and decorative side panels. A visually striking early 20th-century trade stimulator/slot machine with strong display appeal, offered as photographed. Approx. dimensions (in): 23.5 x 14.5 x 13.25.
