[ASTRONAUTS]. Group of 8 Photographs or Other Items Signed by Astronauts. [V.p., ca. 1960s-1980s]. 4 signed or inscribed color photographs, 2 signed or inscribed black and white photographs (all approximately 8 x 10" - several are official NASA photographs), 1 signed program (8 1/2 x 5 1/2", folded) and 1 signed certificate (approximately 8 1/2 x 11").
"Deke" Slayton photo with small marginal chip, program soiled and creased. Generally fine. This lot comes with the COA of the Clark C. McClelland Collection of Space Exploration, as per Goldberg Coins & Collectibles. Color photos include: Harrison H. Schmidt (Apollo 17), John W. Young (several Gemini missions, Apollo 10, 16, STS 1, 9), Charles M. Duke, Jr. (Apollo 16), Walter Cunningham (Apollo 7). Black and white photos include: Walter Schirra (Mercury 8 - he has signed with a Mercury symbol, Gemini 6A, Apollo 7), Donald "Deke" Slayton (Mercury, Apollo-Soyuz, NASA manager). Certificate ("Apollo 12 Mission") and program for "First Annual Moon Walk Festival" both signed by Alan Bean (Apollo 12). The original owner of these photos, Clark C. McClelland, was an engineer and technical assistant to many NASA space missions, including Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, various shuttle missions, and the space station.

We will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of carriers or packers whether or not recommended by us. Property will not be released to the shipper without the buyer's written consent and until payment has been made in full. Packing and handling by us of purchased lots is at the entire risk of the purchaser, and Potter and Potter Auctions, Inc. will have no liability of any loss or damage to such items. Packing and shipping expenses shall be added to buyer's invoice and will reflect a charge for labor, materials, insurance, transportation, as well as actual shipper fees.
