BURROUGHS, Edgar Rice (1875-1950). The Outlaw of Torn. Chicago: A. C. McClurg & Co., 1927. 8vo. No illustrations, as issued. 298 pp. Publisher's full red cloth, front board and spine stamped in gilt, publisher's unclipped dust jacket (minor rubbing to cloth, faint offsetting to endleaves; one tape repair to jacket verso, inkstamp (?Popular Edition") on jacket spine, jacket slightly worn, soiled, some marginal chipping, a few creased tears). Very good. FIRST EDITION OF THE NOVEL VERSION OF BURROUGHS' SECOND STORY. The original story was published 13 years before this hardback was issued. Zeuschner 381. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 9 ? x 6 ? x 2".
