Original green cloth gilt (few tiny spots of restoration at extreme ends). Tipped?in with an advertisement slip from the Franklin Printing House of Frank Eastman & Co. in a Prang style. FIRST EDITION of this scarce title. ?? [ALSO WITH:] SHAW, Henry. The Hand Book of Mediaeval Alphabets and Devices. London: Henry George Bohn, 1856. Tall 8vo. 36 colored plates. Original blue cloth stamped in blind (rebacked with original backstrip laid down). ?? Together, 2 works in 2 volumes, condition generally very good.
