Circa 1800. ?One-color broadside playbill advertising a seven-act program at the Royal Circus, featuring ?horsemanship by Mr. Hughes,? and a new pantomime called ?the Defeated Magician.? [London]: 1785. Trimmed close and laid down. ?One-color broadside playbill for performances at Surrey Theatre, featuring burlettas and pantomimes. [London]: 1810. A competitor to Astley?s, the Royal Circus underwent various renovations over the years, its name eventually changing to the Surrey Theatre in 1809. Approx. 12 ? x 7 ??.
