Original gilt?stamped brown cloth (some minor wear at ends, else fine). Provenance: Charles S. Schwartz (bookplate), noted Civil War bibliophile. FIRST EDITION. Includes a wealth of information regarding monthly pay of army officers, names of vessels of war, military posts, etc.
