CLARKSON, Thomas (1760-1846). History of the Rise, Progress, and Accomplishment of the Abolition of the African Slave Trade by the British Parliament. London: John W. Parker, 1839. ?A New Edition, with prefatory remarks on the subsequent abolition of slavery?, not found institutionally or listed in Sabin. First published in 1808, this seminal history focuses on the transatlantic slave trade and its abolition by Thomas Clarkson, a leading campaigner against the salve trade in the British Empire. Sabin 13486 (first edition).
