ORIGINAL PRINTED WRAPPERS, with text printed in red as seen on the original dust jacket, upper cover overprinted in black with the words ?Advance Copy, Publishing Date, October 15, 1912, Price, $1.25 net? (extremities sunned and gently rubbed, small chip at foot with loss). Provenance: Elenore M. Leal (early ownership signature on front free endpaper).FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, ADVANCE COPY. To our knowledge, this is the first time that an advance copy has ever been offered at auction. Green and Gibson A37e (American edition).
