KIPLING, Rudyard (1865-1936). The Works of? London: Macmillan and Co., 1913-27. LIMITED EDITION, one of 1050 sets of the ?Bombay Edition? SIGNED BY KIPLING on the half-title in Vol. I. The first 25-volumes were published in 1913 and in 1927 a 26th volume was issued in a limitation of 1000 copies; 5 volumes were later issued in 1938 and are often lacking from the original series. [TIPPED IN WITH:] an ALS from Kipling dated 15 August 1918 to ?Strachey? on Bateman?s Burwash letterhead.
