Profusely illustrated. 601, [1, blank] pp. Publisher's full burgundy cloth, front board and spine lettered in gilt, (recased, later plain endleaves, spine a bit toned, with some light wear, light edgewear to corners, some toning in text, portrait of Lincoln with tape repairs to verso). Very good. FIRST EDITION. Housed in modern red cloth clamshell case. Howes W386. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 10 X 8 X 2".
