Original half calf with titles gilt, marbled endpapers, raised bands, intricate gilt scrollwork in compartments (rubbing to boards and endpapers). Paul-Frederic Cabantous was a contemporary of Victor Hugo and is believed to be the true author of the poem ?Christ at the Vatican,? erroneously attributed to Hugo.
