[NATIVE AMERICANS]. Albumen photograph of a Pueblo Indian. Circa 1870. On original mount, image 184 x 140 mm, overall 356 x 279 mm. Indicative of his style, the photo was possibly taken by the famous Civil War photographer Alexander Gardner (1821-1882), who was commissioned after the War to photograph Native Americans who came to Washington to discuss treaties.
