- Lot Description
[ORIGINAL ARTWORK]. [WORLD WAR II]. BOSTICK, William A., Lt. (Jg.) USNR [American, 1913-2007]. Volume 2 Graphic Report Prepared by William A. Bostick? Task Force 122 (Normandy Scenes and Watercolors). [European Theater, 1944]. Oblong 4to spiral-bound art notebook in original stiff cardboard covers and art paper. Leaves approximately 11 x 15 ??. Ten watercolor and ink drawings and six pen and ink drawings, most are drawn directly on leaves, some are on paper and mounted onto the leaves (binding heavily worn, soiled, front cover and first leaf are loose, nearly all with inkstamps from the U. S. Navy on the verso, a few with marginal tape reinforcement on versos). Very good. All drawings signed by Bostick at the lower corners. Excellent views of the preparation and invasion of Normandy.
